Introducing the Powerful and Luxurious 2019 Mazda CX-5
In a field dominated by compact crossover SUVs, the Mazda CX-5 continually delivers more style, quality, and handling than any other competitor. Each model reestablishes Mazda’s engineering capabilities, as well as their commitment to safety. For 2019, Mazda has introduced a luxurious new signature trim level that includes a more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an improved infotainment system, and much more. The new 2019 Mazda model, the CX-5 Signature, was created to provide luxury at an affordable price. It has similar characteristics to the Mazda6 sedan and Mazda CX-9 SUV trims. Higher CX-5 trims also offer a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, typically found in the Mazda6 and Mazda CX-9. The engine itself creates 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Mazda CX-5 evokes a smooth ride, mainly due to a revamped suspension and a more linear ride quality. With the additions of G Vectoring Control Plus and the revised suspension being paired with the turbocharged engine, the latest CX-5 model operates more like a luxury vehicle, rather than a popular crossover. The model, as previously stated, includes G Vectoring Control Plus technology, standard on all 2019 CX-5s. The technology is recently improved and Mazda cites an improved steering response when exiting corners with additional braking for added safety.
On the inside, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 receives Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, popular entertainment features, to further solidify the integrity of the interior. New upgrades include SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link service with a free three-year subscription, a seven-inch configurable driver information display, power folding side mirrors, and ventilated front seats. All of these features are standard on the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature. Passengers can expect the same luxury on the inside as the outside; the interior seats are coated with premium leather and the dashboard is layered wood with satin chrome accents. Interior LED lighting is also included, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel stitching and a frame-less rearview mirror.
