Mazda connect enables drivers to use their cell phone features, hands free, eyes on the road. It does this through Bluetooth technology and is controlled by voice recognition. This Mazda Apple CarPlay Upgrade will apply to 2014 and newer models that are already equipped with a previous version of Mazda Connect system. Yes, Mazda was a little late in the game and didn’t fully embrace the possibilities for infotainment, but they are more than willing to make up for it.

With the upgrade comes Mazda CarPlay, Apple CarPlay and Mazda Android Auto compatibility as well as upgrades to the 2.1 amp USB ports which offers faster charging capabilities and who doesn’t love that? This feature also lets users project apps from their smartphones onto the in-dash screen. The personal settings of the user are incorporated into the interface.

Software update options:
- Select settings from the home screen
- Select systems tab
- Select music database update
- Select OS version, Gracenote version, search for software updates or cancel update
- To confirm update or re-installation select yes, select no to return to previous screen
