First Look at the Upcoming Mazda CX-70 and CX-90

Exciting things are coming for Mazda’s SUV lineup! This year, the automotive company introduced the all-new Mazda CX-50, but there are two additional crossover SUVs that will be part of the lineup. Built on an all-new, larger platform, the CX-70 and CX-90 are expected to be revealed toward the end of 2023.These crossover SUV models will feature Mazda’s new longitudinal architecture with new inline-six-cylinder and plug-in hybrid powertrains. It is anticipated that the CX-70 and CX-90 will also feature next-level performance, handling, technology, and design.

CX-70: Exciting Capabilities and Powerful Performance

With an estimated starting price of $38,000, the 2024 Mazda CX-70 is expected to feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six engine or inline four cylinder engine with a 48-volt hybrid system. If the engine is augmented by a 48-volt system, then the 17.8-kwh battery pack will produce even more power and capability. Similar to the newly introduced CX-60, the CX-70 will also likely to be offered in a hybrid system. The Mazda SUV will also feature both rear wheel drive and front wheel drive. We’re still waiting on more information on the CX-70, but you can be sure it will pull out all the stops as a luxury crossover SUV.

CX-90: Enhanced Efficiency and Sporty Handling

The Mazda CX-90 will feature a new 6-cylinder and plug-in hybrid powertrain, giving it sporty handling and enhanced efficiency in equal measure. Plus, with a unique exterior design and enhancements to its performance, technology and more, it’s clear that this new Mazda model stands on its own against the competition.
