Step Aside Tesla: Mazda is Now Creating an Electric Vehicle
Mazda is in the midst of creating its first all-electric vehicle. The production of and demand for electric vehicles is increasing and automakers are responding by coming up with excellent electric vehicles. Mazda is bringing an all-electric SUV your way soon. The CX-30 was a recent new compact crossover for Mazda. Their new all-electric SUV will be of similar size, but it will be called the MX-30 SUV.
According to Car and Driver, “Mazda will be bringing its first all-electric vehicle to market soon in the form of the MX-30 SUV, which made its debut at the 2019 Tokyo auto show. The subcompact-sized crossover has a sharp exterior design with a coupe-like roofline and rear-hinged back doors similar to those found on the BMW i3 electric car.”
What will power this Mazda electric car? The Mazda MX-30 SUV will come with a 35.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack as well as a 143-horsepower motor. This vehicle will give you a 124-mile driving range, but Mazda is also working on a range extender. Like all Mazda vehicles, this vehicle is going to focus on providing you with a fun overall driving experience. The interior of the MX-30 is also expected to be high-end and comfortable, with plenty of features and technology for you and your passengers.
When is this new Mazda electric SUV going to be available? This MX-30 electric SUV should be available in the United States in late 2020 or early 2021. However, it will be released in Europe before then. This is something exciting to watch out for in terms of new Mazda vehicles and electric vehicles.
