New Mazda vehicles nowadays come with some great technology features; we think one of the best being this advanced keyless entry. We remember the days where this technology wasn’t yet available, and you had to manually put the metal key inside of your door handle to unlock it.

Many people remember this quite fondly but think about it- not many younger people have experienced manually opening your car door. Below, we’ll talk about and go through how to use your keyless remote entry available with your Mazda.

First, it’s important to note that there are different types of Mazda keyless entry: basic keyless entry and advanced keyless entry. The basic keyless entry allows you to lock and unlock the car doors. There’s a button to lock the car, one to unlock the car, one to open the trunk, and a panic alarm button. The advanced keyless entry, which is available on many of our Mazda models including the Mazda6 and the Mazda CX-5, you’ll be able to gain entry to your vehicle without ever taking the key out of your pocket or purse. There are buttons located at the driver’s, passenger’s, and drunk doors that you can simply push to gain access while carrying the key. Another feature on the advanced keyless entry is the function of remote start which is capable of auto heating and/or cooling. Gone are the days of shivering or sweating inside the car waiting for heat-ups or cooldowns.
